Overview

Are your people frustrated with changes and uncertainties at work? Do coworkers struggle to cooperate and communicate? I translate the fascinating research about how our brains are wired to focus on all the things we don’t like about our work, and give people simple but powerful science-based strategies they can implement immediately to shift the way they think about their jobs, colleagues, and customers. The result? More resilience, less stress, improved relationships at work and at home, and overall higher performance for more success. When it comes to our ability to influence our experience at work, the ONE thing we have the most control over is how we think.

The right blend of thoughtful and motivational

Tina's presentation on motivation was excellent for our group of healthcare professionals because it hit the right blend of thoughtful, factual research along with a fun, positive energy that left our attendees inspired.

What to expect

My goal is to make your event a success. I work with you to understand the goals and expectations for your event. What are the challenges of the audience and are there any sensitive topics I should be aware of? How do you want them to think, feel or change after the event?

I create a customized, interactive and engaging program that provides your audience with information that will create a positive shift in the way they think about their job and their lives using scientifically-based strategies. When we have a more positive attitude, we are more resilient, more productive and more creative.

I try hard to work within your budget by offering different options that can adjust the fee. I would be happy to talk with you to find options that work for you and your organization.

About

Tina is certified in Positive Psychology through the WholeBeing Institute, an Authorized Partner for Everything DiSC®, and a Professional Member of the National Speakers Association. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and worked for 20+ years in Biotechnology at small start-up companies and large corporations. She has great insight into the different priorities and challenges of individual departments because of her experience in R&D, operations, product management, and contract services.

In 2011, Tina discovered a new science called Positive Psychology that focuses on how we can all live our best lives. She immediately saw how important this could be for organizations and their people so she decided to hang up her lab coat and start her own company, The Positive Edge. Her goal became bringing this information into organizations to help improve the quality of people’s work lives and the quality of company cultures because if there's one place we need help staying positive, it's at work.

She has had the opportunity to share this information with government agencies, academic institutions, hospital staff, biotech companies, sales teams, nonprofits, and more.
