The Natural Naturalist

For parties, I typically bring 9-13 animal ambassadors with me. My program is typically 1 hour, depending upon the number of guests and their participation level. Oftentimes, if a guest arrives late, and if I have time, I will often show them the animals they missed at the end as I’m packing up. I want all of your guests to see everything.
I bring: Blue&Gold Macaw, Rabbit, Leopard Tortoise, Box Turtle, African Giant Bullfrog, Ball Python, Blue Tongued Skink, Bearded Dragon, Armadillo, Hedgehog, Rat, 2 Patagonian Cavies. Everything, except the frog is touchable.

I have loved animals my entire life. I was a volunteer Docent at Brookfield Zoo for 10 years, and then an employee in the Education Department for 10 years. I left to pursue other interests, but came back to animals and nature. Many of my animals had lives with other people as pets before coming to me to become ambassadors for their species, and my lifelong pets.
As well as doing parties, I do educational programs on a variety of topics: Monarch Butterflies, Bird Intelligence, Pigeons & Doves, Inspired By Nature (Biomimicry), Women of Natural History, Animal Classification, Scout Groups, and I can do custom programs to fit in with school curriculum. All, but, ‘The Women of Natural History’ have animal ambassadors in attendance. The programs featuring animals, they will be touchable.
To be curious about the natural world, is to be a naturalist. Children are naturally naturalists. I want to help develop that sense of curiosity about the natural world around us into a love of nature that, in time, will grow into a desire to protect it. Thus, my company name, ‘The Natural Naturalist’.

For Educational Programs that require a PowerPoint, please provide a screen, wall, or HDMI ready TV. I do have a projector and laptop that I bring. If you have a projector with HDMI connection, I can use that. I do not have a sound system, so if your group is large, please provide that.
