The Masons are a high-energy husband/wife acoustic duo delivering a toe-tappin' show of original songs, songs that you forgot you knew, and some twists on popular favorites!!
Skip Mason started pickin' on an acoustic guitar at the age of 10 and from that point music was the focus of his life taking him on a melodic adventure of rock 'n roll, blues, country...even a Florida beach band... His Appalachian roots have helped him develop a style which mixes all of these influences into an upbeat, fun genre of its own.
Cindi Mason was always drawn to music and found her own expression of this love on the upright bass, which would ultimately add the perfect accompaniment that Skip had been longing for. Her vocal harmonies blended naturally with Skip's lead vocal, taking the two on a musical journey together, and thus "The Masons" had begun.
Over the past few years, The Masons have evolved with tight arrangements, smooth harmonies, and their ability to put their own Appalachian spin on familiar songs, which has generated enthusiastic audience support from the numerous performances throughout their home state of West Virginia, and along the East Coast.
The Masons are Skip and Cindi. Skip plays acoustic guitar, provides lead vocals, and keeps the audience entertained with his humor. Cindi plays "Momma" the upright bass, adds harmony vocals, and keeps their show on the road.
THE MASONS travel with their own sound equipment, ready to plug in and start the music. We are also happy to provide venues with promotional materials to help promote their shows.

A typical show may include the music of Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, The Eagles, Hank Williams, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, John Hiatt, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils and more... all with a toe-tappin' spin!
Skip's music influence comes from a wide range of the early greats such as Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan - to rock legends like Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers and the Beatles.
Cindi's music interest began with the acoustic influence of her older brother, who introduced her to the likes of John Prine, James Taylor, and John Denver. Her interests were further cultivated through the various genres coming out of the 70's and rock women such as Heart, Grace Slick and Carol King.
