When it came to me that my path was to perform
the lives of great men in Christian history, my next
job was to find a play. God provided because He
never deserts a person he sends on a mission. I
found this play, Damien in a play directory in my
local library under the heading, “One character,
Male.” From that point onward, my baby steps
turned into leaps and bounds. Many talented
writers over the years during and after St.
Damien's life recorded all they could about the
priest and the lepresarium at Molokai. We are
blessed by God to have such intimate knowledge
of what happened during those remarkable years.
Saint Damien's life is nothing less than a complete
blueprint on how to live a successful life. After
all, what is the point of living a life predicated on
everything but Jesus Christ when, in the end, there
is only Jesus Christ.
