I perform live Virtual Reality concert experiences, and am perfect for tech-savvy crowds or musicheads who are interested in a futuristic musical experience.
My methodology includes a large projection with the shared visual of my world of antigravity sequencers, synths, and samplers, a direct line of consciousness to my thoughts and relationships to the music as it is created live in person.
Price Range: $1000-3500
Gig Length: 25 - 60 minutes
What to Expect
A futuristic, technology driven performance. My performances usually last around 30-45 minutes, and booked along with other fitting acts can create a beautiful evening of organic sci-fi art.
The Glad Scientist is the pseudonym of Puerto-Rican artist Daniel Eric Carlos Hector Alberto Sabio. His works range from witty 2D digital creations to fully immersive code-driven installations. They have garnered diverse international attention, from ISEA (International Symposium of Electronic Art) to Chale Wote Street Art Festival, Bass Coast Festival and beyond. He wields a BSc in Computational Media (Computer Science+Art) from Georgia Tech, and currently works closely with tech startups at the Atlanta incubator & seed fund TechSquare Labs. His unique perspectives on technology’s role in art stem from a bizarre mixture of subcultures fused with insights gained from studies in some of music’s richest cultures, including Ghana, Turkey and Brazil. Obsessed with cutting edge technology’s role in the artistic experience, his experimental approach to the creative process has evolved into the role of a FutureArt Technologist.
Additional Booking Notes
I have a bit of a complicated setup, that requires ample room (around 20x20ft), and takes ~45 minutes to an hour to assemble, depending on the venue's support system.
I require that there be sound (including subwoofer) be present at the venue at the minimum. A stage is preferred, although additional lighting is not necessary, as I will bring my own projector and screen, and use additional screens as necessary for additional audioreactive visuals.
