Engaging talk about the future of space systems engineering. A quick history with personal experiences as a console operator of the Space Shuttle will be discussed. Some current events and space systems architecture as it currently exists will be discussed to define the context. The future of space systems engineering with a focus on realistic near term challenges, needs, goal and objectives will be discussed. Then the space systems architecture of the more distant future as foreseen from a true rocket scientist (me) are presented. This includes missions back to the lunar surface and Mars human exploration.
