Meet Farmer & Adele
With the sounds of classic songwriting in their music and the future in their sights, Farmer & Adele are reimagining the modern cowboy and cowgirl while respecting where the music began. Now based in San Francisco, Farmer & Adele are led by award-winning musicians Grace Adele and Farmer Keenan, bringing a fresh energy to traditional country-western and western swing music.
The duo are two-time Ameripolitan Award winners, with Grace receiving the 2019 Western Swing Female of the Year award and Farmer & Adele receiving the 2020 Western Swing Band of the Year award. Their music has taken them across the country and internationally, with performances at the Grand Ole Opry, City Winery Nashville, Pilgrimage Music Festival, Music City Roots, and festivals and cultural events throughout the United States.
Farmer & Adele have released multiple albums and singles, including their children's album Songs for Lil' Cowpokes, and have collaborated with artists including Riders in the Sky and The Punch Brothers' Paul Kowert. Their annual Country & Western Christmas Party has become a beloved tradition, blending classic holiday songs, original music, and their own western swing take on The Nutcracker.
From intimate acoustic performances to full western swing dance bands, Farmer & Adele bring a classic-meets-modern spirit and an entertaining experience for audiences of all ages.

• 4 Instrument Mics - 57's preferred (Acoustic Mandolin, Acoustic Guitar, Accordion, and upright bass)
• For monitors, we need vocals all at same level/blend and acoustic guitar acts as a snare drum beat so very needed. A little bit of acoustic mandolin in the monitor is great if it can be done.

Influences and inspiration
Our influences span the roots of American country and swing music. In bluegrass, we draw from Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, and Old & In the Way. In western swing, we look to Bob Wills, Milton Brown, Gene Autry, and Asleep at the Wheel. Our country influences range from Patsy Montana, Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and Ray Price to later artists like Garth Brooks and Brooks & Dunn. We’re also deeply influenced by early New Orleans jazz and the musicians who helped shape American swing.
