What to expect
Each show is a mix of stories and photographs, part lecture, part slideshow.
Specific topics currently include:
"Tramping the Dune Shacks", a visit to all 19 dune shacks, located in Truro and Provincetown, Cape Cod, including rare interior shots of shacks I have stayed in;
"The Lost Shacks", a virtual tour of the 20-plus dune shacks that no longer exist;
"Grande Dames of the Dunes", the stories of six matriarchs of the dune shack community;
"Tramping The Great Beach", an entertaining stroll down the Back Shore of outer Cape Cod, from Eastham to Provincetown.
All presentations are meant to educate and entertain, and maintain the history of the dunes and beaches, and the unique shack community.
After the show, Q&A is encouraged!
About
I am a Connecticut native, and first visited Eastham as a fifth-grader and vacationed there often, until buying "Beach Rose Cottage" in 1998.
Now a part-time resident of Eastham, I am an artist, photographer, writer, historian, lecturer and preservationist.
I am on the Board of Directors of the Henry Beston Society and a long-time member of the Nauset Light Preservation Society.
Since my first dune shack residency, in 2006, I have become immersed in the sacredness and spirituality of the outer Cape dunescape and its unique shack culture.
I adopted my sobriquet, “The Dune Tramp”, to honor my bohemian hero, Harry Kemp, “the tramp poet of the dunes”.
My website, (link hidden) launched in 2008, is a repository of stories and photographic images of my adventures.
I published my first book, “Tramping the Dune Shacks”, in 2013, which began as a slideshow/lecture presentation in 2011. More presentations have been added to my repertoire, to entertain and educate folks interested in Cape Cod history.
I joined WOMR in 2016, to provide a periodic radio broadcast about the dunes, the dune shacks, the dune shack community and the dune shack culture in Truro and Provincetown; the artists and writers who interact with the dune world; and other people, places and things experienced along the beaten path that wends itself through outer Cape Cod.

Setup requirements
I have all equipment necessary. I have a portable screen, but it's cumbersome; so, an in-house screen is great! One power socket and I'm ready to roll!
