What to Expect
The Dreamboats pride themselves on professionalism that extends from the initial quote, to the last note of the night. Before the show, The Dreamboats arrive on time and prepared -- during the show, they play with an enthusiasm and genuine love for this era of music-- a passion which translates into an unforgettable, nostalgic show for audiences of all ages! From dance moves, to hand stands, to post-show photo-ops, The Dreamboats are the full package.
The Dreamboats are bringing back good ol’ fashioned Rock n’ Roll! Playing hits from The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry and more, this quartet of handsome young Mississauga boys delivers an exciting, nostalgic show that has audiences dancing and singing the night away—Gee Wiz!!
The Dreamboats consist of Chris Hummel (a.k.a. Sir Ritchie Hummins) on vocals and guitar, Bryan Fligg (Fliggers “B.” Lewis) on vocals and bass guitar, Matthew Bestvater-Tennison (“The Prodfather” Matt Best) on lead guitar, and Gianmarco Fiacconi (Johnny “G-Wiz” Fiaccones) on drums and backing vocals.
What brings these four twenty-somethings together to play hits that were much before their time? A true passion for an era when ice cream cost a quarter, milk was delivered to the door, and people danced to live music! The Dreamboats capture this era at live shows through their angelic harmonies, rockin’ guitars, matching uniforms, and famous spinning “starlight” lamps (to set the mood, of course).
All members of The Dreamboats have resumes worthy of the songs that they cover. Both Hummel and Fligg have played in popular Top-40 cover bands and have toured southern Ontario playing bars, casinos, and resorts. Fiacconi has played for several bands, both original and cover, and has toured both Canada and Europe extensively. Bestvater-Tennison has over ten years of lead guitar experience and has played in various original/cover bands throughout the city. All four members also have significant experience in the recording studio.
The Dreamboats maintain a high standard of professionalism when playing a gig. They employ the use of professional instruments and gear, and have a strong knowledge of live sound production. The Dreamboats have an extensive list of 50s and 60s songs in their repertoire and can play for as long or as little as need be. They can adapt to any size venue and can tailor their set to meet the needs of any show or event (weddings, corporate functions, etc.).
A night with The Dreamboats is sure to get a crowd dancing and singing along to those essential classics that everybody knows! People, both young and old, will remember a time when a Friday night was best spent twisting, shouting… and trying to resist the spiked punch!
