Hello, my name is Joe Calomino. I’m the founding member of the Diffused Blues Band. We’ve been booking performances for 2025 and we’d love to have an opportunity to perform for you and your patrons.

During the last 3 years we’ve had over 120 live performances including festivals, local music venues and private events. We’ve had the privilege to front for famed Chicago Blues artist Mike Wheeler for two consecutive years (2023 & 2024) at the Stateline Blues Fest in Richmond, Illinois. We’ve also been a featured band on the Rock N Roll Chicago Podcast.

Our 6-piece high energy band of veteran musicians perform a wide range of Rock’n Blues, Southern Rock, Rock and Classic Blues covers!

The "Diffused Blues Band" band is based out of McHenry County, Illinois. In June of 2021, Joe Calomino formed the original band named Grumpy Old Men & Friends and in January of 2024 he re-named the band as the "Diffused Blues" Band. The band is available as a 6 piece Rock'n Blues band or as a Trio with 2 harmonicas and a rhythm guitar.

The band is comprised of veteran musicians performing Rock'n Blues, Classic Rock, and Southern Rock covers in our unique style from a wide range of bands including: Anthony Gomes, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Paul Butterfield, Muddy Waters, John Nemeth, Allman Brothers and many more…

So, whether it’s the mellow sound of the “Trio” or the Rock’n sound of the “Full Ensemble” you can’t miss with the "Diffused Blues" band! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!!

The "Diffused Blues" Band has performed on a wide range of stages from smaller venues to large professional stages with sound technicians and lighting.

We have our own sound systems and lighting when needed.

We generally perform from 3 to 4 hours with 10-15 minute set breaks.
