Abbey Ray and the Sunstones are a Chicago based Country Blues/Rock band that performs at local clubs, private events, weddings, parties and more! We feature the amazing Abbey Joy on lead vocals and a tight knit band of excellent professionals, including an incredible fiddle player. We have violin, keyboards, guitars, trumpet and more! We are inspired by Tedeschi Trucks, The Chicks, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson and more. We know more than 500 songs. We can create the perfect mood for your event and specialize a playlist that will make your evening special.

We hired this band for a private event and they absolutely exceeded expectations. From the first song to the last, they brought an incredible mix of country, blues, and Americana that had everyone in the room engaged, dancing, and singing along.
Their musicianship is top-notch, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. The setlist was the perfect blend of classics and modern favorites, and they read the crowd really well, switching gears when needed and keeping the energy just right for the room.
Beyond the music, they were extremely professional and easy to work with. They showed up on time, were well-prepared, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free for us.
If you're looking for a talented, authentic band that can bring great vibes to a private event, party, or venue, I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again. We’ve already had multiple guests ask for their name after the show.

What to expect
We can play a single 30 to 45 minute set, or multiple sets up to 4 hours. We have our own sound and lighting equipment. We have played every type of event from Weddings to private parties to corporate events of all kinds. Our style has been compared to Tedeschi Trucks, Allman Brothers, The Chicks, Larkin Poe, and many other country rock greats. We also play new artists who are charting today. The key expectation from us is that we will play a show that will entertain your audience and leave them wanting more. This is our passion and we love to share it!
About
Abbey Ray and the Sunstones are a Country Blues band from Chicago in the vein of Tedeschi Trucks, Laney Wilson, The Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Miranda Lambert, Kasey Musgraves and more. We have played many clubs in the area already as well as a number of private parties, corporate events and weddings. We are experienced musicians with violin, keys, horns, guitars, bass and drums and lots of great vocals!

We have my own sound and lighting equipment which is compact and easy to set up in a small space or large space and it sounds fantastic!
