The Curve
Overview
The concert is an immersive and very unique experience accompanied by stories from Ameen Mokdad’s life
The Curve was composed in Iraq/ Mosul when the city was occupied by ISIS and all art was banned and criminalized, the stories Ameen’s telling during the show aligns with the music itself, intense but funny at the same time.
Over seven thousand audience members attended his first tour in the USA, everyone agreed on the same thing, they didn’t feel inspired and rejuvenated at any concert as they did at The Curve.
The act was performed in diffrent forms, but always had the same effect, the same deep impact!!
Everything presented with love, care and kindness.

May 17, 2026Powerful & dynamic performer - highly recommend.
We worked with Ameen at Narratio, which runs an annual storytelling fellowship with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ameen was the artist in residence for the past two summers, and led two feature performances at the Metropolitan Museum’s Temple of Dendur and the André Mertens Galleries for Musical Instruments. The performances were our best over the past seven years, and it was a privilege working with Ameen, from ideation to execution.

May 14, 2026Highly talented and impactful artist
Ameen's concert was the most impactful component of a three day conference I organized last summer. The audience was international, and they connected so profoundly to the artist's story and music that they still speak of it every time we meet, a year later. I can't say enough about this musician's exceptional musical talent combined with his ability to impact an audience with his story and passion.
