I have a power point for every talk that I do, though it is not always necessary to utilize it. Having visuals can at times be advantageous for the audience but it is not mandated if the resources are not available.
Depending on the audience and the particular talk I am doing, I may wonder around the audience instead of staying up on stage. This kind of interaction can often make a bigger impact on the audience than just speaking on a stage.
I am comfortable being a keynote speaker, but I also enjoy providing workshops. Some workshops utilize vignettes and audience participation.
Do you want to be a victim or a victor? Pathetic or powerful? I went from being suicidal and hating life to being successful, but it took intentionally changing my mindset and having positive forward focus. Working as a clinical therapist and in emergency services, it is easy to see people embrace and live in victim mentality, which leads to self-defeating behavior. I then started working in the business sector only to see many business leaders trying to run successful businesses but only to exhibit the same self-defeating behavior. As a result, I have seen many businesses fail. I have identified 6 common traits that can sabotage personal greatness and destroy a business. It has become my passion to help leaders understand not just keys to success, but keys to failure and how to avoid wrong trends and misdirection and become powerful leaders and people of influence.
I am not particular on the lighting. I prefer a headset over a mic because I like to walk around, but if a headset is not available, I prefer a handheld mic versus a stationary mic for the same reason stated above.
I have a powerpoint for each of the talks that I do, but they are not always necessary for the success of the talk.
Most of my talks I do not need a stand for notes, so depending on what talk I do, I may or may not need a stand for notes.
Dave Roever, Nick Vujicic, and Joni Erickson Tada are incredible people of influence because of the obstacles that they have overcome to achieve the success that they have and have proven that beauty is contagious. Their physical appearance would make many people write them off and think that they are meaningless and noninfluential, but these incredible leaders have also proven that disability is just a word, and need not be a lifestyle or an obstacle to success.
Dr. S.M. Lockridge, Les Brown, Carey Lohrenz, Admiral William H. McRaven are all very good motivational speakers that can carry powerful and persuasive messages.
Preference is a headset, but a handheld mic is fine.
I utilize a powerpoint. I can bring my own laptop, or I can bring a drive and use a system that is already in place
