"Josh was very entertaining and interactive with the audience; great performance!"- Missouri S&T
Josh Farley's show combines world-class sleight-of-hand, comedy, mind-reading, and an inspirational message you won't want to miss! Originally from NY, Josh began his journey at age 12 when he saw his first illusionist. By 18, Josh won awards for his sleight-of-hand, was published in two Magic magazines, and headlined a showcase for the International Brotherhood of Magicians' annual convention. He now performs for fortune 500 companies and universities all across the United States.
I selected Joshua without having met him so I was a little nervous. He mingled with the guests of a client event I was hosting for our top customers. It added a fun element to the party and kept things light and fun. The attendees loved his personality and his skill. I would HIGHLY recommend him for a large or small event! He was very polished in professional in his attire and interactions.
Our office team really enjoyed his performance!! Thank you for making our Christmas party fun and exciting!
Josh was wonderful for our company party. He was there early to learn his crowd and one on one tricks. We have a wide range of ages and personalities. No one was disappointed!
Josh was wonderful from start to finish. Easy and professional to work with and responsive to inquiries. The show was quirky, funny, and in parts inspirational. Our conference attendees had nothing but good things to say about his magic and performance. He did a great job and added a lot to our event. Highly recommended!
Josh was great throughout the entire experience. He showed up early to get the "lay of the land" and then spent an hour walking around performing magic/slight of hand tricks for the students. After this, he performed his show - which the students really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend Josh!
We hosted an awards banquet for college student-athletes and Josh was our closing entertainer. We gave Josh two specific but unusual parameters, giving him much less time than he is used to and limiting him on what he could do on stage because of that time-frame (no big illusions).
While most older adults were used to the traditional tricks, this event was geared towards college-aged students – and they seemed to love it. He kept them laughing, engaged, and when his time was up, the students were disappointed – they wanted to see more.
Josh did a great job! The crowd was very engaged and his energy kept everyone's attention. Josh's ability to intertwine one of his magic tricks with a message of love and peace was AWESOME and well received by our audience. Josh was very professional and kept his show within our timeline. Josh was also able to interact with the crowd after his show and was amazing with our staff and guests. I would highly recommend Josh. He did an excellent job.
I booked Josh for walk around magic at our exhibit hall opening for our annual conference. Being new to GigSalad, I additionally researched him online. His online media materials seemed professionally made, but I was reluctant at first because those seemed dated. If you're in the same place I was prior to booking Josh and possibly feeling reluctant...THERE'S NO NEED TO FEEL THAT WAY!! Book him today!! I had a bird's eye view of our exhibit floor. I looked for him several times during the opening and had no problem finding him at any given time; he was where the circle of attendees were. Being the event organizer, I didn't have an opportunity to spectate first-hand during the event. At the close of the event, he accommodated with a handful of tricks for myself and some wandering vendors. Words that I would use to describe Josh: professional, courteous...AWESOME!! He knows his craft and was a joy to work with. I would book him again with no questions and highly recommend him to anyone needing a close-up walk-around magician.
I would absolutely recommend Josh for your event. He is fantastic!
His banter and interaction with the crowd is fun. His illusions will leave you in awe. His performance will bring out the child in you again, and by the end of the night, you may just find yourself believing in magic once again.
We booked Josh Farley and his Conspiracy Show for our church family night and everyone loved it.
Josh was awesome to work with! He was quick to return communication and worked hard to provide what we were looking for. He even reformatted his media to fit the dimensions of our projection.
The show was very engaging and entertaining! The finale will leave you scratching your head for a while afterwards trying to figure out how he did that!
Josh does a great job connecting with the audience and enlisting their participation. Young and old we’re entertained. Definitely worth it!
We hired Josh to walk around and do close-up magic for/with the guests at our wedding reception. He was super nice and responsive if I had a question before the wedding date, which took a lot of stress off of my end. Our wedding guests loved his tricks and I really think it was something that will not be forgotten! Josh even found me and the groom at one point and asked us if he could show us the tricks that we had missed. We really liked that part a lot because we got to relax and enjoy our time right at the end of our reception.
Josh provided entertaining illusions and did a great job interacting with the crowd - even on a very hot day.
When choosing entertainment for our Annual Dinner we look for someone who will engage the audience. Encouraging participation keeps the pace of the show going and keeps the attention of the audience. This can be difficult after the audience has had a filling meal! Josh nailed it! If you have seen his show you know that I mean that literally. Josh is a wonderful entertainer that was well received by our community.
Josh helped make our work Christmas Party extra special. He started with up-close magic and did a great job mingling with all of the attendees. His stage show was entertaining and engaging. I received tons of positive feedback from the staff who loved his show. I would highly recommend Josh.
Josh provided the entertainment for our annual Christmas Party. He walked through the crowd during happy hour and entertained everyone with all kinds of tricks. He was both entertaining and amusing. Several people commented on the "penetration" trick he performed when he took the stage to perform for the entire crowd. They were terrified - mesmerized - amused - and entertained! THANKS, JOSH! You were AMAZING!
Josh was fantastic. Very entertaining and very good. He mingled well with my guests and they were fascinated with his magic and mind reading. I would highly recommand him to anyone. Will definitely hire him again.
Very fun and easy to work with!
We hired Josh to mingle with guests at an outdoor event we were hosting for about 300 people. He did a fantastic job of interacting with all our guests and everyone was amazed by his tricks. He was an absolute professional throughout the entire process, from meeting with us before to learn more about the event to handling the extreme humidity we experienced at our outdoor event. Would highly recommend!
Love this guy's heart & his passion for his craft. We booked him for our annual harvest festival & I'm glad we did. He and his crew showed up on time & was courteous & professional. He was also willing to flex so as to fit what it was we were looking for; personable guy/good magician, a winning combo :)

“Magic is the only honest profession. A magician promises to fool you and he does.”- Karl Germain
I was born in Ithaca, New York. My dad was the vice president of a large power and public gas utility company, my mom used to owned boutique coffee shop, and I was homeschooled. I was 12 years old when my dad and I got interested in magic together. Just weeks after seeing an Illusionist in Branson, we decided to join the International Brotherhood of Magicians. The organization has meetings all around the United States, and I proudly belonged to the excellent club Ring 79 for two years, where I learned a number of sleights and secrets I still use to this day.
Being the somewhat awkward homeschooled kid that I was, it was easy to devote all of my attention to learning the art of magic. I quickly surpassed my dad's skill but when we moved to Branson, Missouri, everything became real very quickly. My dad partnered with a local wood shop, and together they began designing and building illusions—both for myself and for clients all around the world.
I still remember walking out on stage at my freshman year talent show with this HUGE “sawing a lady in half” illusion. Now this is Branson, so the talent show was in a 1200-seat theater, and I was terrified. Yet I was so thrilled and honored to be performing one of the same illusions that first inspired me. For a freshman, the act was decent. We got 4th place! Branson High had some pretty stiff competition, but it was this event that birthed my stage career.
I spent my high school years focused on magic competitions and the stage: a few musicals and even some Shakespeare. By graduation, I was graciously invited to headline a showcase for the International Brotherhood of Magicians' annual convention. This was a huge honor, and a dream my mine since I attended my first international convention two years prior. This 5-day event changed my life and my entire perspective on magic. All of the sudden, I found myself surrounded by the world's BEST sleight-of-hand artists, illusionists, comedians, and mind readers in the industry. I knew I had some work to do.
Since then, I've directed two other magician's shows, produced a close-up show for the illusionist that first got me interested in magic, and I had the opportunity to tour with an incredible Christian magician, Zak Mirzadeh. Additionally, I'm working towards building a company that inspires and empowers other artists to make their creative goals a reality and helps them to realize where they fit in today's world and marketplace.
When I was 18, I thought my goal as a magician was to deceive people and perform the most ”impossible” tricks...but I soon realized that the magic isn't in the deception, it's in the experience. As a magician, I'm giving the gift of an impossible moment. It's worth so much more than just “tricking” someone. The impossible moments are all around us; but just like a good magic trick, they take hard work, dedication, and love.
