Carolyn Eyerly was awarded the WAMMIE for the D.C. area's 2022 Best Bluegrass Artist. Carolyn is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who performs Bluegrass originals and covers as well as "grassed-up" classic rock tunes suitable for dancing and swaying. Carolyn has been a dynamic lead singer in the Washington, D.C. area since 2011 and has created a huge playlist of popular, gospel, and eclectic songs.

My father died early April 2023. He loved gospel, bluegrass music. In planning his funeral at short notice we found Carolyn Eyerly Band that was willing to come to Pennsylvania. Everyone loved them and it was a touching memory of Pop, especially the song I’ll Fly Away. Thanks Carolyn and the Band

Carolyn Eyerly was awarded the 2022 WAMMIE Award (Washington Area Music Award) for
Best Bluegrass Artist / Group.
A native Northern Virginian, Carolyn grew up listening to Southern Rock and Bluegrass. Carolyn is a graduate of the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and anticipated returning to acting after her children had grown but found music to be an overwhelming draw.
In 2010, Carolyn was a founding vocalist for the acclaimed Washington, D.C.-based folk group, Shenandoah Run. Shenandoah Run released two CDs. After discovering the warm community which is bluegrass music Carolyn became a founding member of Sweet Yonder, an all-women bluegrass band, in 2014. Sweet Yonder released one CD and an EP.
In 2019 Sweet Yonder was nominated for a WAMMIE Award in two categories, Best Bluegrass Band and
Best Bluegrass Album.
"The Sunny Side Of Life" is Carolyn’s first solo CD project which includes seven of her original compositions.
Carolyn continues to wow audiences throught the Washington, D.C. area with her new band featuring phenomenal, legendary instrumentalists and singers.
