August 26, 2019Mike and Emily showed up right on time, got themselves set up, and launched into a beautifully performed set. Their sound was perfect for our outdoor corporate event and would also be well-suited for a wedding, lounge, or music festival.

April 24, 2016The Cantafios played for cocktail hour at my wedding and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They are truly talented and I received more compliments on them than any other vendor (and I had primo vendors). I was still hearing about how awesome they were months later. Emily's voice is amazing and Mike is extremely talented at guitar. They are a knockout duo.

We don't take up much space. Picture two stools, an amp, a microphone stand, and a monitor. We're most comfortable on a small stage or in the corner of the room. Intimate, cozy, and wonderful for background music that your guests will be curious about.
Emily and Mike met while studying in the jazz program at Columbia College Chicago. They have had the pleasure of playing in and around Chicago for the past six years at weddings, corporate events, street festivals, and music venues.
In March of 2016 the couple decided to leave the city and pursue their dream of settling down to start a family in Iowa. Surprisingly, Iowa has welcomed the duo with open arms and they have been able to continue doing what the love; performing.
It's always nice to hook into a PA if you have it, but we're pretty self-contained.
