The Black Velvet Band

As Boston area's premier show band for Irish and American music for over 25 years, we help people celebrate - anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, house parties, dances, community concerts, banquets, and much more. The Black Velvet Band performs as a 3- to 6-piece ensemble depending on the type of event, with a mix of lead and background vocals. We help make memories by playing to the audience, not a setlist, as demonstrated by our many return engagements. From Sinatra to Springsteen, Waylon to Weezer, sing-alongs and set dances, along with all types of traditional, dance and rebel Irish music - that's the legacy of The Black Velvet Band.
