Bullied at the age of 13, my dad enrolled me in martial arts to learn self-defense. Not only did I earn a black belt, I discovered the Black Belt Excellence I was taught as a martial artist also allowed me to excel as a leader. While every student who came through my schools did not earn a black belt in martial arts, they all learned valuable leadership skills that empowered them to lead themselves and others better. Today, as a 2X martial arts hall of fame Inductee, I am teaching these Black Belt leadership skills to others. A 3X Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, I am passionate about teaching others to be Black Belt Leaders in Life. Holding black belts in multiple disciplines, I've been a multi-location school owner and now serve as the CEO of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame where I teach leadership and communication to school owners and instructors worldwide.
I am a certified leadership and communication speaker, trainer, and coach and currently serve as an Executive Director with The John Maxwell Team. I am also a DISC-certified Human Behavior Consultant, a Real-Life Management Master Trainer and a member of Speaking Empire.
I've previously worked as a Sales Coach and Trainer with a specific focus on the financial services community for the past 25 years, and a leadership coach and human behavior consultant to the martial arts community, churches, the U.S. military, and to corporate America for the past ten years. I've been also privileged to teach leadership in Guatemala, Zambia, and in Cameroon.
