May 13, 2024The Big Dog Blues Band delivered an incredible experience for my husband’s birthday party! They were professional and attentive to all of our needs. Keeping in touch throughout the planning process contributed to a smooth and stress-free experience.
The music they played was upbeat blues music that set the stage for dancing and celebrating. The fact that many guests commented on how good the band was speaks volume about their talent and ability to entertain a crowd.

March 13, 2024We thought we hired a blues band, but what we got blew us away… soulful rocking blues they sounded like J. Geils and wet wille with buddy guy thrown in. This band has talent from the Harp guy ( soccer dad look) keys, drumming, lead guitar and one hellva front man!

Chris "Duke" Cook lead vocals, keys, guitar, hails from The Jersey Shore where he cut his musical teeth. Chris brings energy and excitement to every song.
Steve "Cannonball" Carusos is one of Georgia’s finest harmonica players. Steve plays with feel and grit. He would make Muddy Waters proud.
Todd "Rex" Hohensee - A native of Detroit, he is a guitarist with smoking lead licks, soulful smooth rhythm, and knows when to amp it up while keeping the groove.
Joe "Pounder" Zummo - Drums. Known as The Pounder - Joe has been a fixture on the Atlanta music scene for decades. His powerful drumming drives the Dogs and provides the strong backbeat for everything they do.
Bassist Ewell “Rocky" Sasser 30 year veteran of the Atlanta Music scene, he keeps the blues groove moving with his smooth riffs and bass swing.
Fran "Frankie" Giordano, keyboard, his musical passion can be heard when you hear the blistering blues riffs coming from his heavily pounded keys. Fran learned how to "bring the heat" playing the hottest clubs in Tampa Bay and the east coast.
The Dogs have their own equipment - including PA - so very little is required to get them rocking at your next event. Electricity and enough room for the band is essentially all that is needed.
