The audience can expect a transforming and renewing of their minds when they I speak to them. When I speak to them, I won’t just be speaking to them but to those self-defeating behaviors! They will feel encouraged when they leave those past habits behind, pick up their bags, and decide to say, “I CHOOSE ME!”
I am D aka The Black Love Poet. I am an Author, Podcast host of The Successful Black Love Podcast, and a motivational speaker. I encourage people especially men, to invest in themselves, to sharpen their mindset and to be the best recommendation letter to themselves that they have ever read! I am also a relationship coach and will be starting an online course teaching men how to be gentleman and love women the right way.
I want the lighting not to be too bright, but bright enough for the audience to be able to see me. I don’t want the light to be a distraction. Please have a fan or A/C. I sweat a lot and get hot fast. Please have bottles of water. I need the stage to be big enough to walk around and for my to use props if needed. The sound must be loud enough for people to hear me in the back of the crowd but not too loud that it’s overpowering. Please have uplifting music playing as my background if I’m speaking or soft smooth jazz music playing if I’m reciting poetry.
David and Tamela Mann, Steve Harvey, Most Deff, the list goes on. I am easily inspired from the little things.
My typical stage and set up are like what is in my YouTube video. I need a a cordless mic, preferably one that I don’t have to hold and one I don’t have to attach to my shirt.
