BAND MEMBER BIOS
Marc Diebold – Lead & background vocals, acoustic & electric guitar, and keyboards
Marc’s first band, Full Moon, was formed in Indianapolis during the mid-80’s. Prior to relocating to Florida in 2020, he performed in a variety of rock and acoustic bands. Two of those bands, eleventh hour and The Verge, opened for regional and national acts, most notably legendary multi-platinum bands Styx and Air Supply. During that time, Marc also performed as a solo artist in brewpubs and other venues throughout Central Indiana. His solo shows featured cover versions of famous classic and alternative rock songs, performed live on acoustic guitar with vocals, and enhanced with backing tracks produced in his professional recording studio, often with Marc playing all the instruments himself. After relocating to Florida in early 2020, Marc continued to perform as a solo artist until founding The Analogs in 2021.
_____________
Allison Spindler - Lead vocals, harmonies, acoustic guitar & harmonica
Allison has a passion for singing and she also enjoys playing a variety of instruments including guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, harmonica, ukulele, flute and fiddle all to varying degrees.
Allison’s first band experience was with From The Heart, a group that performed for charity assisting local dog shelters, and she also sang with Girls Night Out, another group that supported local charities.
Her shows cover artists in various genres including classic rock, alternative, country, blues, jazz and pop. In addition to singing in cover bands, Allison enjoys writing original songs and singing and playing with Music Makers, a local group that she helped found.
_____________
Alex Ferris - Lead guitar
Alex played the drums in rock cover bands during high school and college, but then started to play guitar when it became difficult to practice drums in your dorm room (there were no electronic drum kits in those days).
Alex loves guitar effects / pedals / processors and that is one of the reasons he chose to become an electrical engineer for his work career. He played guitar in a couple of bands for short stints after college, but then stopped playing for many years while other life priorities took over (work, kids, home ownership).
He loves 80’s classic rock and idolizes guitar legends like Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Carlos Santana, and Eddie Van Halen. He’s excited to be practicing and playing again in retirement!
While we are a rock 'band,' our percussionist does not play a traditional drum kit (he plays congas, bongos, tambourines, etc.) so our minimum volume level is lower than other bands. We can be louder if you want, but we can also perform at background music levels if that's what you need.
