What to expect

When you come to one of our shows, you will hear professionally played country music that you can dance to, played by a band that presents a professional, family friendly appearance and demeanor. All the band members sing, so you won't hear the same voice for the entire show.
We play dancing music: two-steps, waltzes, polkas, with a little cajun style thrown in. We welcome requests, and if we know the song, we'll put it in the set.
We like to get to know our audience, so we're just liable to mingle with the crowd a bit during our breaks.
No concerns about drug use in this band.

About

The Alibis are a traditional Texas country dancehall band. While we have all had "regular" careers, we have each had multiple years of performing and recording experience. We have been working together for about 15 years (give or take).

Additional booking notes

We can provide our own sound and stage lights for most venues.

Influences and inspiration

60s to 2000s male country artists are our source of cover songs. Maybe some even a little older, but we think our crowds like to stay on the dance floor most of the time. All the Georges (Jones, Strait, Morgan), Hank, Sr., Ray Price, Bob Wills, Alan Jackson, Conway, Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Kershaw, Doug Kershaw, Darius Rucker, Garth, Buck, Faron, etc.

Setup requirements

a stage or bandstand should provide about a 12 foot deep by 20 foot wide area if possible.
