Taylor Cooksey - Violist

I received my bachelor's degree in viola performance from California State University, Long Beach, and I received a master's degree in viola performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in May 2021.

I’ve been playing the violin for 14 years and the viola for 7 years, and I’ve performed at many weddings, proposals, and corporate events. As a soloist, I’ve performed at the XXX Olympic Games in London, La Madeline Cathedral and the Chambord Castle in France, the Bristol Cathedral in Scotland, and various venues throughout Germany including the Jakobikirche, Phoenix Theatre, St. Nikolai Church, and the Church of St. Simon and Judah. As a chamber musician and orchestra member I’ve performed at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney concert Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Segerstrom Hall. I was a part of the American Youth Symphony in LA before relocating to San Francisco, and I have played viola in short films and in studios.
