Symphony of Destiny
Overview
Symphony of Destiny is a symphonic metal band founded in Richmond, Virginia by metal guitarist and Virginia Commonwealth University alumni with a Bachelor's Degree of Music, Wesley Eldridge. Symphony of Destiny was inspired by bands such as Nightwish, Epica, Delain, Seven Spires, Eleine, and many other similar bands. Our original music gives a lot of focus to symphonic elements in unique ways you do not hear from the average symphonic metal band. We also write music about mythology, to describe life lessons and experiences at a deeper level.

What to expect
At an event that includes Symphony of Destiny, we will be the band to stand out among the other bands. Even throughout our genre, we still have a unique sound that does not copy other bands. Each of our original songs sound different from each other, and every musician in the band is talented at what they do. When Symphony of Destiny plays live, the band will be accompanied by backing tracks that expand the experience of the audience and capture the full intended sound of our music to maximize our live performance experience. There will be shredding guitar solos that demonstrate prowess, operatic singing from our singer demonstrating her years of classically trained ability, an arsenal of sounds with well executed use from our keyboardist, and drumming that doesn't miss a beat that accents critical parts of our songs while adding his own creativity.
About
Founded by metal guitarist, Wesley Eldridge, Symphony of Destiny is a symphonic metal band that writes music about mythology and focuses equally on heavy riffs and symphonic elements. With a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Wesley, the primary songwriter, uses his knowledge and understanding of music theory and the psychology of music to make the most out of the songwriting. Combined with a music education and guitar instruction from notable guitarists such as Rob Math from Leatherwolf and Player, and Joe Stump from Holy Hell, and Joe Stump's Tower of Terror, Wesley has a large arsenal of tools to make Symphony of Destiny the band it is.
Even though Symphony of Destiny was founded in early 2025, Symphony of Destiny had already started playing shows starting in March of 2025 at venues such as The Canal Club, Another Round, and Super Rad Arcade. Playing for touring bands such as Abrevity and A Sound Of Thunder. Symphony of Destiny is already in the works of getting official music released to all streaming services. These releases are forecasted to launch before the end of 2025.
Additional booking notes
Since Symphony of Destiny requires being able to use our backing tracks, we use an In Ear Monitor rig to: listen to a click track in our ear buds, hear each other's instruments, and stay in sync with each other. We require a stage box to plug the different channels of our instruments and the backing tracks into, allowing the sound engineer to send all of the sounds through the speaker system. This takes a little longer than the average band to set up, but we have developed a system to cut down on setup time.
