Swing Street is a unique musical combo, specializing in the Great American Songbook. Based in Palm Beach County, Florida, this group can perform with as few as two musicians, or can be expanded up to seven performers, to fit your venue and budget.
Swing Street can provide music for dancing, listening, or both. The male and female vocals are accompanied by piano in the duo format, or by a complete rhythm section and horns of a dance band in the larger settings. The musical director/pianist, Marty Gilman, is also a virtuoso saxophone player and is often praised for his outstanding performances.
Swing Street is self-contained, providing a sound system and all necessary equipment to perform.

Marty Gilman is from Newton, MA and now resides in Palm Beach, Florida. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Marty is a skilled performer on piano, Hammond Organ, saxophones & flute. He has extensive experience as a professional performer. Jazz, R&B, and Blues are specialties, but Marty has played it all, from Baroque to the Avant Garde.
During his career, Marty has had the good fortune to play with The Temptations, Tommy James and the Shondelles, Chris Bruebeck, Jimmy Ruffin, June Christy, Ray Bloch, The Platters, as well as many New England groups such as The Pat Braxton Band, The Bagatelle, Wilbur and the Dukes, The Marty Gilman Band, Herbie, Blue Devil Bluez, and many, many more. Marty is the former Director of Music for the Oxford Public Schools, and taught Music in the Massachusetts State College system.
Marty has appeared as a guest soloist on more than 20 CDs, and is often called on to perform at festivals, concerts, clubs, and church services. He is a member of the Musicians of Jupiter and the Jupiter Jazz Society. Visit (link hidden)
Eileen Bass Cummings, also from Newton MA and a Palm Beach County Resident for over 25 years, brings her love of music, her passion for the Great American Songbook, and her remarkable knowledge of an eclectic range of lyrics, to Swing Street. Eileen graduated from Boston University’s College of Communications and William Paterson University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling, solid foundations for her current interest. As a corporate trainer since 1980, Eileen is at ease performing for groups from 10 to 200, and is able to engage her audience and make each guest feel as if she is singing just to them. Eileen has developed her skills from the local karaoke scene to studying vocal techniques from renowned music professionals to singing with live bands in public venues and private parties. Eileen is a member of the Jupiter Jazz Society and has performed at local venues such as 264 The Grill in Palm Beach and Double Roads Tavern in Jupiter. Eileen is also licensed to officiate at wedding ceremonies in the State of Florida.
We can fit in small spaces by limiting the size of the group and utilizing our smaller equipment inventory.
We require only one electrical outlet, nothing more.
Our setlist is totally customizable and include Great American Songbook hits from the 1930s-1960's, as well as Bossa Nova and contemporary
titles.
