Las Vegas showman, Ron Gartner, delivers a ninety minute show--The Music of Bobby Darin--a fast paced performance, featuring the music of one of the greatest entertainers of all time! The show features multimedia, a six piece swinging band, great backstage stories and Darin's best songs--from the early years of rock'n'roll "Splish, Splash" "Dream Lover" "Queen of the Hop" to his swinging days in Vegas and The Copa, including "Beyond The Sea" "Artificial Flowers" and of course "Mack The Knife". The show can be scaled to to a trio and the songs are digitally recorded and available with a track background, as well. A Broadway and nightclub show brought to life!
Ron was very accomodating to the special circumstances of our dad's 80th birthday party. He immediately connected to my mom and dad. He is very easy to work with and a true professional. He had the Bobby Darin voice and moves. Bobby Darin is my dad's all-time favorite singer, so this was a perfect surprise for his party. Thank you, Ron. We plan to catch one of your shows at Mohegan or the Ridgefield Playhouse!
Great guy! Was very professional and worked with us and my moms interest for her 60th birthday. Was a smaller party (30 people) but he worked the crowd well

As a kid in LA, while his friends listened to the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean, Ron Gartner decided "surf-music" wasn't his bag. Falling in love in the 60's with great music from Philadelphia and Detroit, he was "almost" a star, performing at the Whisky A-go-go when Johnny Rivers was there, and at PJ's with Trini Lopez. When the Motown contract didn't happen, he put his voice on the shelf for years, until opportunity knocked. Moving to NY, he resurrected his career in 2000 with a free show at senior center, and, today performs at the nation's finest venues.
From Feinsteins (Michael Feinstein's nightclub) in New York, to casinos, performing art centers, country clubs, and outdoor concerts, this multi-talented singer belts them out like Sammy and Bobby Darin used to--dances like James Brown and Chubby Checker--and leaves the crowds screaming for more.
It looks like saving his voice for those many years, while pursuing other business, is the key for a second career. The NY Times, LA Times, PBS, and CBS, to name a few, have all found his story fascinating.
We appreciate venues that have professional equipment (sound and lighting). However, we always can arrange to provide the finest in sound equipment, if necessary.
