Super Funny and Very Enjoyable!

Just what we needed in the middle of a stressful week near the end of the year before the holidays. Susan was great and we loved her. We’re going to definitely have her back!

So refreshing!

I felt very refreshed and optimistic about the office environment after hearing Susan speak. It's a far more important topic than people realize in a stress-filled workplace.

Influences and inspiration

🌟 Influences

My performance style is inspired by a mix of classic entertainers, musical theatre storytelling, and playful comedy traditions that celebrate warmth, humor, and connection.

I’m influenced by iconic performers such as Carol Burnett for her joyful, heart-forward comedy and ability to make every audience feel included; Ethel Merman and Sutton Foster for their bold, theatrical storytelling; and Ella Fitzgerald for her musicality, swing, and sense of fun. While I don’t try to look or sound like these legends, I’m inspired by their spirit, versatility, and generosity as performers.

Comedically, I draw from my own personal tastes and life experiences, letting my personality shape the humor I bring to the stage. My style has been deeply shaped by years of improv training with Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), as well as sketch and joke writing with iO (ImprovOlympic) and The Second City. These traditions influence my love of quick thinking, audience connection, and comedy that comes from truth and play.

I’m also inspired by ComedySportz and theatre camp culture, where collaboration, games, and joyful participation are at the heart of performance.

As one audience member once put it, I’ve been described as “the cartoony cat whisperer from New Jersey” and “slightly dizzy in the best possible way.” I take that as the highest compliment — a reminder that my goal is to bring playful energy, warmth, and a little delightful silliness to every show.

Together, these influences come through in performances that blend music, comedy, storytelling, and audience interaction into a warm, inclusive experience that feels part concert, part variety show, and part community celebration.
