Sunny Raye’s roots stretch from Los Angeles to the Bay Area, where music has been part of her life from the very beginning. Her dad, a jazz pianist, introduced her to jazz; her mom shared a love of soul and R&B; and her family’s appreciation for The Beatles helped shape her ear for melody and harmony. Together, these influences formed the foundation of Sunny’s musical style.
Performing since childhood, Sunny began singing alongside her dad as “Sunny & Pops,” playing restaurants, weddings, and private events before branching out to build her own career as a solo artist. Today, she is known for her soulful voice and expressive acoustic guitar playing, drawing inspiration from artists like Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, and modern pop.
Sunny has released original music, including her 2021 EP Songs from the Beginning, but her true passion lies in creating meaningful live music experiences. Whether performing at a neighborhood restaurant, private celebration, or festival stage, Sunny brings warmth, professionalism, and genuine connection to every performance, using music to uplift, connect, and celebrate.
