Rafael Unplugged:
Rafael's goals with his guitar is to "always make it sound fuller than one would expect" and with his beat boxing, bass line dropping, funky style you'll believe that Rafael is surrounded by an ensemble of musicians every night he plays.

Rafael has spend over 10,000 hours being on stage and entertaining crowds with music or with his Emceeing abilities, so it would be tough to find a more interactive entertainer than Rafael Unplugged.

Musically speaking, Rafael will bring in a set of acoustic music, to an addition of looped versions of pop, r&b, oldies and radio favorites covered Ed Sheeran style.

He is prompt and professional and a bit OCD - so his stage is neat and everything has its place. He is passionate about his work and his music and his brand - Rafael Unplugged.

Rafael is a Filipino musician and entrepreneur from the beautiful island of Guam, and now recently relocated to Fremont, California (2021)

~ The Humble Beginnings in Music:
Picking up his first guitar back home in Subic Bay, Philippines he's never put the instrument down since 2002.

He began recording in 2004 as a high school student learning the world of music. Simultaneously as a Junior and Senior in High School, he became part of the Vivace Honor Choir learning how to read music.

He was also tasked to run a monthly talent show those last two years "Fresh Friday", where he would collect the schools talent and host and often perform in the "Fresh Friday" during extended lunch period, starting his career in live performing and audio engineering live.

Shortly after graduating in 2006 - he began gigging in local bars and restaurants.

~ Putting in 10,000 hours of gigging live:
He honed his skills with friend and fellow guitarist/vocalist Natalia Faculo for years every Monday at Casa Nami Guam - at one point gigging every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

In 2012 they took a break to pursue school and their careers and Rafael continued his YouTube Channel Rafael Unplugged to perform digitally.

In 2015 he joined Lemuel (Piano and Guitar) for a brief stint at the Beach Bar at Gun Beach for a sunset gig to start off the weekends on Guam.

In 2016 Rafael joined up with Ryan Imamura and I Am Ray John to create "Tonight - We Ride" a cover group with a hip hop and rap influence thanks to I Am Ray Johns Musical Background.

Rafael currently continue his passion in music in California, moving there in May of 2021.
