Rockin Band

Sunchaser was the perfect fit for our 75 years of caring event. They played a variety of tunes that our crowd loved. One of the members even came out into the crowd of our residents dancing and sang and danced with them.
I highly recommend Sunchaser for your event!

Great Sound!

Very good voices, energetic, great song choices. Danced to most of the songs, although they could throw in a waltz or two.

What to expect

As a client, you can expect us to communicate with you early and often regarding the venue, logistics, scheduling for set up, tear down, and other items related to your event. You can expect us to show up on time, and to fulfill our obligations in a professional manner. We will be respectful of your property and your guests. We will honor our agreements, whether they are verbal or contractual. We are a mature and experienced group of seasoned musicians.

During the performance, we will check in with you during setup and during the event to ensure that we are meeting your expectations and that our volume is neither too loud or to soft.

People frequently compliment us on the diversity of our catalog, the quality of our sound and sound system, our professionalism, and how much we have fun performing - which is contagious!

We provide all of the required equipment, including a professional sound system, including all instruments and amplification. We offer three different sound systems, the largest of which will cover an area typically required for medium to larger outdoor concerts. We use in ear monitors and amplifier modeling, so we require a relatively small footprint for the band. We require a minimum of 18'W x 12'D area for our set up, which includes space for the front of house speakers. We also provide a complete pre-programmed lighting system for the band, which adds to the excitement. Finally, we will provide break music.
We require a clean, level area in which to set up and perform with access to the performance area over clear, level terrain for load in and load out. We require a minimum of four hours of access to the performance area for load in and setup, and 1-1/2 hours for tear down and load out after the event. If we are providing our largest sound system, additional setup time would be helpful.

About

Sunchaser, formed in 2021, is a collaboration of seasoned local musicians from the West Michigan area, including two members from Lowell. The 5-piece band plays a wide variety of musical styles including rock, country, blues, R&B and more.
They play hit covers from the 60s, 70s, & 80s, by such notable artists as Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, The Eagles, CCR, Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, Dwight Yoakum, and The Rolling Stones, to mention a few. The eclectic song catalog also includes Motown covers of Marvin Gaye & The Capitols, as well as classic rock hits of Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, The Zombies, Linda Ronstadt, and The B52's.

The diversity of the members’ musical background and experience enables the band to cover a wide variety of styles well. This is one of the things that the group feels is their biggest asset, and they are constantly trying to push that envelope into different areas. Feedback from audiences has been very positive in this regard; audience members often comment that there’s a little something for everyone in their set list. There are four strong vocalists in the group and most of their arrangements feature multipart harmonies.

Bob is the founding member of the band. Bob plays guitar, keyboards, percussion, and sings. He has been playing and singing music in the Grand Rapids area since he was seven years old. Bob says, "Music is the best therapy, period" and “The only good thing to come out of the Covid pandemic for me was our band.”

Barb (Bobbi) is a highly experienced keyboardist and vocalist. Bobbi has 30+ years of performing in local and regional musical groups, big and small. In addition to being an excellent keyboardist, Bobbi is the lead vocal arranger for the band.

Randy, bassist percussionist, and vocalist, brings more than 40 years of playing experience to the band. “I'm thrilled to be involved with live music and great players and do so with real respect for a solid foundation. I love to help keep Sunchaser’s sound fun, danceable, and full of good vibes.”

Mike, drummer and vocalist. He started his drumming career at the age of 10 and started his first band in the 7th grade. Mike says, “I have always liked many styles of music, so I have tried to play in different style bands to hone my experience in that style. Music has been an important part of who I am for my entire life and has been so therapeutic for me and many friends along this journey.”

Rusty, guitarist/vocalist with over two decades of experience performing in classic rock and blues bands in the Grand Rapids and Lansing areas.
