Summerdaze Band is a dance-variety party band that plays it ALL. We play hot top 40, new country, disco, oldies, funk, Motown and plenty of beach music. We have been together since 2005 and have played hundreds of events! We always get recommended by our customers for their friends events. We have two CD's out now and working on a third...beach music. We have played the last two Carolina Beach Music Award Shows at the Alabama Theater in North Myrtle Beach. We are a dance variety band however and focus on the music that keeps your guests ON the floor. We are eight members; six males and two females and we carry three horns as well so we CAN and DO cover ALL types of music.

You should expect to hear the hottest dance hits from every genre' with great energy and a dedication to sound as close to the original artist' rendition as possible. You should also expect to hear some of Summerdaze Band's beach music radio songs when requested. Summerdaze will dress for the event and play what YOU have selected from their playlist OR upon your request will just watch the crowd and do our best to entertain them and keep them dancing. We'll perform and entertain in a fashion and manner that will please even the hardest "sell" in your crowd. Our volume levels will be very specific to the event and the wishes of the customer. If the customer wants it turned down; it gets turned down or if they want it turned up; it gets turned up. We know who the customer is and we serve them as WE are the vendor. Summerdaze will not drink from your bar but do normally request to be fed at an event if appropriate. You can expect our energy to be high, our breaks to be short and our attitudes to be very pleasing. Summerdaze is ALWAYS dressed and appropriate for any occasion. Finally you can expect the professionals of Summerdaze to be very liability conscious and ensure that any and all equipment used in the performance is operated safely with the customer in mind and all cabling (which minimal is used) to be securely hidden or tucked in a manner that will NOT be a source of a slip or fall from any person in the audience. We are fully insured.
Summerdaze was formed in 2005 as six members and expanded over the years to current EIGHT members. We play the hottest dance variety music from all genre' which includes top 40, new country, disco, Motown, funk, oldies with plenty of beach music. We have played HUNDREDS of events since 2005 and continue to receive the highest marks from our customers. Summerdaze is a regular on beach music radio as we have two CD's out now and working on a third beach music CD from which songs have already charted. We focus however on dance variety music that appeals to the masses. We are very professional and always present that way..but are a LOT of fun! Summerdaze eight members are two females and six males; all of which sing. In that number of 8 we also have three horn players, saxophone, trumpet and trombone. We have been featured the last two years at the Carolina Beach Music Awards in North Myrtle Beach on the shows at the Alabama Theater. Call us today and book your event. We are always changing our song list so hit our website often to see a current list.
All sound reinforcement and lights that are used during a Summerdaze performance (unless its a large street festival or very large convention center) is owned by Summerdaze, L.L.C. -Mitch Simpson (member also). This equipment is state of the art powered QSC speakers with wireless sennheiser vocal misc and wireless in-ear monitors. The audio board/console is a new digital Presonus-24.4.2 board which is typically run "from" stage or beside stage. IF a front of house audio mixer is needed, that person wanders around with a ipad and mixes the sound wirelessly. All stage performers can change their monitor mixes (which are wireless) with their iphones or ipads at their microphone stands :) Most stage equipment is prewired INTO the digital board so set up times are much less than a typical band. It all depends upon load in. Mitch Simpson (owner-member) with bass player Shaun Quan is typically first through the door at an event. He and Shaun get it all set up quickly and the band members come in about an hour after he and Shaun get there to do a quick sound check IF NEEDED. Our power needs are usually less than those of some bands with older and less efficient and usually bulky equipment. We have worked many hours to lessen set up and tear down time as it makes everyone happy. Mitch and Shaun can many times have all equipment torn down and loaded into the 5 X 8 v nose "logo'd" trailer before the drummer finishes tearing down his drums...but not always. You can rest assured that when the show is over...we are in just as big a hurry to get OUT and home as the event coordinator, wedding planner and event staff are. Time is money for everyone. We require a "green room" in which to change and we require that the customer feed us on site before the gig. Summerdaze. If we are playing outside during the summer months for a wedding reception...NO TUXEDOS unless the tent or facility if air conditioned. We always dress appropriately but will not take a health risk by overheating unless the above conditions are met.
Staging: We don't have to perform on a stage but if one is used we will need no less than 18' across the front and no less than 12' deep with an area OFF the back of the stage for cases...etc to be stored.
Power: We'll require a minimum of TWO SEPARATE CIRCUITS OF 20AMP 110 service (three is great but can get by on two)
Check our website as we keep a current running list of what we are playing monthly.

There are too many acts and performers to list but we've taken a piece from about every musical influence. The owner loves all music from the motown era but we play a strong amount of just about all. We make sure that the song was widely heard on the radio and had staying power AND was very danceable when it was on the charts.
Stage minimum is 18' across the front and 12' deep. Stage is NOT required but preferred. Power needed is a minimum of TWO SEPARATE CIRCUITS OF 20 AMP SERVICE OF 110 (three is even better) A GREEN room is required for changing and storage of clothes.
