Story Artist & Global Jesus Nomad

Bethany is about two things: Adventure and Presence.

She has an adventurer's heart and story is the backdrop to everything she shares. With that, she loves to connect with people right where they are in their struggles, but does so with a lens of hope by honing in on our greatest point of connection in life - God and each other.

From a young age, Bethany bee-bopped to the beat of a different drum, living unapologetically with color, flair, and a passion for telling humorous and imaginative stories. She holds a BA in International Studies and French from Baylor University, as well as a Certificate in Pastoral and Worship Leadership from Hillsong College in Sydney, Australia.

She calls herself a "global Jesus nomad," because she served as a missionary to au pairs, singles, AIDS patients, and millennials in five countries [France, Switzerland, South Africa, Australia and England] over a ten-year period. Bethany moved back to the United States in 2013, and since then, has led over 500 people on mission across eight countries through the work of Greater Europe Mission and Global Serve with a focus on refugees, community outreach, and relational evangelism.

She believes that connection with God and others is key to a life of joy, purpose, and meaning and spends her time sharing this truth with others as an author, global speaker, podcaster & story artist. Bethany is passionate about telling stories that engage hearts and minds, attaching to God's Presence, battling social injustices and living life as an adventure with God, while bringing others along on the journey.

She is the author of “Kiss My Fish: Tales of Chasing God Around the World” (2018) and the host of “The Hope Adventure” (2019) podcast.

Bethany currently lives in her hometown of McKinney, Texas where she serves in her local church and is getting certified as a Spiritual Director. She loves painting, feasting on chips and salsa, and traveling the world as much as possible to build the kingdom of God.
