I am Steve Minkin, a full-time professional square dance caller who has led over 10, 000 dances in the past 37 years. I do traditional and modern squares, circle mixers, line dances, novelty dances, and have a large and eclectic DJ collection. I can also emcee your event. I usually work with the music from my laptop, but there are several excellent bands that I have worked regularly with over the years and are available for an additional fee. I love calling for brand new beginners, and work with children and schools more than any caller in the world. My home program consists of five weekly club nights in Sonoma and Marin Counties, but my passion is introducing square dancing to beginners.

He brought all his own equipment, including a microphone, which was really helpful so that we could all hear his instructions as he taught us several line dances and square dances. We had a great time and we will definitely plan to work with Steve again in the future.
