The South Coast Swing is Orange County's Premier Swing Band. The band provides entertainment for all occasions-Weddings, Banquets, Fund Raisers and Special Events. We are 16 piece ensemble and provide a rich full sound. We offer a male or female vocalist. We specialize in the Classic Jazz and Dance Music of the Big Band Era, but our expansive library allows the band to provide music of many genres to best fit the event.. We provide outstanding emcee services for all events. All contracted jobs include a pre-job site inspection to plan the band set-up and on going client communication with the band music director to plan the perfect music menu for the event.

The South Coast Swing provides danceable and listening big band swing and jazz music. It has a large library and can provide music of many genres ( Latin, speciality, Sinatra style.
A major strength of the band is its flexibility in working with clients and event planners. Pre job preparation is extensive and includes ongoing communication with the music director as well as a pre-job visit to the venue to ensure a seamless set up on the day of the event..No one puts more time and planning into events than the South Coast Swing..
Originating in 1982, The South Coast Swing is Southern California's longest tenured band.
This is a full 16 piece swing/jazz band (4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxes and a full rhythm section) and not to be confused with the many 10 piece bands ostensibly offering the same product.
Th band has provided entertainment for events of all kinds: fund raisers, birthdays, holiday celebrations, wedding receptions and more. The band is composed of some of Orange County's best musicians and soloists. Although housed in Orange County, we book jobs from Los Angeles to San Diego.
We pride ourselves on the planning and preparation we invest in each job. This includes a pre-site visit to all contracted venues to plan the band set up along with ongoing client/music director communication to plan the perfect music menu. We offer clients the choice of a male or female vocalist. We offer outstanding emcee services as needed for all events. We have even had clients for wedding receptions attend a rehearsal to practice the 1st dance or rehearse a song that a guest might sing with the band.
As clients search for the perfect fit for their events, Attend a rehearsal to audition the band in person is always an option available to potential clients.. Many have taken advantage of this opportunity..
