As a Middle Tennessee State University graduate, I play regularly at weddings, contra dances, farmers markets, studio sessions, and as a violist with my trio. I also teach private lessons and have teaching experience at Dow Street Community Music School, The Huntsville Strings Shop, and Elite Dance, Music, and Art. My teachers include Jim Wood, five-time state fiddle champion; Inge Wood, decorated rhythm guitarist; Dr. Andrea Dawson, world-renowned violinist; and Stephan Dudash, leading five-string violist. September 22, 2026We were so excited to have her play at our wedding, and honestly, we don’t know what we would have done without her! After having two violinists cancel on us, we found Sophie and she ended up being absolutely perfect. She was incredibly accommodating, learned several special songs for us, and played beautifully throughout the ceremony and before it.
Our officiant was actually running late, and she stayed and continued playing to fill the extra time so seamlessly that our guests had no idea there was even a delay. She completely helped set the tone and create such a beautiful atmosphere before and during the ceremony. The piano soundtrack in the background also added so much to the experience and made the music feel even more special.
She went above and beyond for us, and we are so grateful she was part of our wedding day. We couldn't recommend her more!

May 2, 2026Sophie was everything we wanted and needed at our fantasy esc wedding. She did a custom Playlist for the welcome and unfortunately didn't get to hear it but know it was amazing and still being talked about. I am trying to get my sister to consider booking her for her special day. Sophie was one of my favorite parts of the day and always dreamed of having live music. SHE did it all and more. I wish I could do the day over and have the chance to sit and listen to her play.
