Bach Prelude Suite IV

Overview

Cello is known as a singing instrument, with a range wider than most. For me, the instrument is an extension of myself. I have been studying cello since I was four years old, have received a BM from Oberlin Conservatory, and soon a Masters from the Norwegian Academy of Music. Let me accompany your event and provide beautiful music! My playing can serve a variety of events such as quaint gatherings, weddings, funerals, or just to hear some beautiful classical music!

About

Cellist Elizabeth Hall-Keough is currently obtaining her masters in music performance at The Norwegian Academy of Music studying with contemporary cello with Tanja Orning and classical with Bjørg Lewis. In solo and chamber work, Elizabeth has had the opportunity to work with Andrei Ionita, Nick Photinos, Yvonne Ma, Erika Eckhert, the Verona Quartet, Brentano Quartet, Jennifer Higdon, and Phillip Setzer from the Emerson Quartet. Her summer and festival studies have included programs such as 1:2:1 Contemporary Intensive, Orford Musique, Eastern Music Festival, and Greenwood Music Camp. In 2019, Elizabeth was awarded the Flint Initiative Grant which is granted to innovative conservatory students to develop imaginative, artistic projects. Herself and five other colleagues founded the KOI Collective & Ensemble which was to supports women, trans, and non-binary composers, organizing collaborative projects, online publications, and community engagement initiatives with young musicians. Elizabeth has recently become enamored with contemporary music and has actively commissioned new works by up and coming composers; even exploring a new genre of repertoire for solo cello and voice in one. Elizabeth graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory, where she received both a B.M. in cello performance and B.A. in creative writing.
