What to expect

Solitary Friends is a 5 piece band (two guitarist, 1 bassist, 1 drummer and 1 singer)- sometimes accompanied by Tears for Fears keyboardist Doug Petty.

We are LOUD and in your face, but with Pop music that makes you wanna dance!

Imagine you're at CBGBs seeing Blondie before they were famous. That's kind of what you get with Solitary Friends.

Pop/Rock and a little bit of punk.

Lead singer Michelle McGregor fits in right with the boys, while also allowing her femininity to shine when appropriate for each song. With an MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama, she's no stranger to the stage.

About

Solitary Friends live in the oxymorons that bubble underneath the waters of the Los Angeles music scene. Dark-Pop music that will both blow you away while also making you want to dance. Their in-your-face loud sound compliments their often subtle and introspective lyrics.

Songwriter and lyricist Ken LaMere drills ear-worms into your brain, while front-woman Michelle McGregor blows your face off with her belting pipes and dynamic delivery. Powerhouse drummer Nick Liberatore demands your attention at all times, carrying the band past the normal threshold of pop and into a darker and grungier world.

This indie band is making waves in LA with their newest album Sum of More releasing this summer with a feature on Season 2, Episode 1 of Kevin Can Go F*** Himself on AMC. For fans of Blondie, PJ Harvey, and the darker side of pop.

Joining them for their album release event are Bassist Dan Lacy, and Guitar player Jack Heldt.

Additional booking notes

We are pretty easy peasy. We have all the amps, and equipment needed for a gig so long as you have a PA. And yeah, if they audience can see us, that's usually for the best ;)
