Smith & Jones

There are two different options to choose from when you hire Smith & Jones:

1. With our walk around ventriloquism, we'll walk around the room or area greeting and visiting with your guests or audience. We'll chat with them, pose for a photo with them if they ask, tell them a clean joke, ect. All up close and personal. We won't stop until we personally visit with every guest present who wants to visit with us.

2. With our old time ventriloquist show, we'll perform an approx. 20 minute show from your stage or performance area. The show is a family friendly, old time comedy and sing along music show you'll remember from days gone by.

Jimmy Smith and Hank Jones are the old school ventriloquist act, Smith & Jones. The act was formed in 1997, but Jimmy has dabbled in ventriloquism since his youth in the early 1970's. Smith & Jones are NOT kid show performers. Choosing instead to perform a clean show for adults and seniors. They have performed many shows as both as an opening act and a headliner. Hank Jones is the 4th member of the Jones family to perform along side Jimmy Smith in the act. Smith & Jones are influenced by classic ventriloquists like Edgar Bergen, Paul Winchell, Jimmy Nelson, Willie Tyler and Jay Johnson. Smith & Jones live and work in Springfield, Missouri.

We only need an area of about 8 square feet to perform when doing our old time ventriloquism show. For a small audience (under 30 people), a PA would not be needed. It may however be needed for a larger audience. We do not provide a PA system.
