In my speeches, I use some of my personal experiences to identify with my topics, which helps me to reach my audience on a deeper level. I also use visuals, usually PowerPoints to help me reach vivid points and to interact with my audience. However I do a lot of research and, I always have a display of works cited on my researches.
I like asking questions getting my audience involved, as well as, adding humor keeping intense focus from my audience as I bring in useful information that can help and or begin a sense of healing into the lives of others.
As I end my presentation, I always leave time for questions staying in the time frame in which I have been given. However, I never leave my audience without a positive thought, and as I look back in the end, I usually see a motivated crowd.

I was born and raised in Helena, Arkansas in a large family with deceased parents Jerome and Ethel Braggs. They raised 11 children, and I am third to the last.

However, I married at a very young age in my first semester of college right out of high school in 1984. I soon dropped out after the first semester after having our second son. My ex-husband and I had five sons with one deceased at the age of fifteen with cerebral palsy. Nonetheless, I was separated from my husband in 1996 moving from Arlington, Texas where we spend most of our years raising our sons, whom I had taken with me to Houston, Texas.

Moreover, I moved away from an abusive home to a shelter home in Houston, which I was accustomed to from going to many shelter homes for battered women during the 12 years of being with my ex-husband. Finally, I was well on my way to recovery trying to rebuild myself to become a competent successful individual. However, it was a long road with two other violent and dysfunctional relationships, which lead me to an intense research for self-discovery and recovery from low self-esteem.

I was able to obtain my divorce in 2005, along with many other victories in obtaining a successful life.

I prefer a large screen or a size conducive to the size of the audience so that I can attach my electronic to display power point slides along with a microphone. If there are no screens or microphones provided, it is okay because my messages are strong enough to speak without it.
