Born into a theatrical family – Jackie Mason (comedian) and Ginger Reiter (playwright) – Sheba has been performing since the age of two as a stageprop in her mother’s play where she sat in her high chair and drank from her bottle. Eventually the baby formula turned into a microphone and Sheba has not left the stage since. She has become a fixture on the Manhattan comedy scene and headlines around the country. She has performed in every possible scenario- from firehouses to weddings, birthday parties of all ages, from giant theaters to pig roasts in backyards, graduations, synagogues, churches- you name it, she has done it in her 15 plus years of doing stand up comedy.

February 21, 2016Last week I was in Boca Raton visiting my 88-year-old Mom and went to see, ‘Jackie Mason the Musical’ starring Sheba Mason at the Black Box theatre. Sheba was brilliantly engaging in her role as Jackie’s ex-girlfriend which happens to be her real mother’s real life story. The show opens with Sheba doing a few minutes of her own stand-up act. You’ve got to see the show to follow what I’m saying but in those few minutes of her stand-up performance Sheba was outstandingly entertaining and the fact that she is Jackie Mason’s daughter makes watching her that much more entertaining. I can’t wait to catch Sheba's whole show sometime in the future but the few minutes I already saw was a 5 star performance!
