Shawna Barnett was born, raised, and still resides in Columbus, OH. With her God given talent, she has penned and published 3 books and is at work on her 4th one at this time. She is a mother of two children, a son (10) and a daughter(16) and recently added a puppy to the mix!

Although her early experiences in life were very unfavorable and affected her for years to come, she has come to grips with it. She attributes her “coping and learning” to God and being able to lean on and learn from Him to get her though. Learning from the pain of being abused in various forms, she now reaches out to other women who have suffered such tragedies in life.

Shawna went on to earn her BS and MS degrees and is currently moving more into ministry. Shawna is also currently pursing her PhD. in Psychology. Shawna is in the process of creating workshop series and engaging in public speaking forums when given the opportunity that will help others bring about change in their lives. Her main goal is to help spread the Gospel and bring as many people as she can to Christ in the process. Her own story was a test and she has a testimony to bring with it, letting women know who have suffered hurts that they can be healed, forgive, and move on into their God given purpose.
