Overview
If you are looking for fun, innovative musical entertainment, the a cappella styling of Sensation! will certainly fit the bill. We love to sing a mixture of love songs, doo wop, holiday, patriotic, and 60's & 70's music along with traditional barbershop music.
We love to sing for crowds big and small, and we perform at parties, birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion.

December 12, 2020Perfect Touch to Our Drive-By Christmas Party
We hired the ladies for our drive-by Christmas party and they were a perfect addition to the party. We were worried we wouldn't be able to capture the Christmas spirit all outside but they were so good. They come ready to sing (and were very safe considering the current pandemic). We would use them again!

I surprised my boyfriend with a singing valentine and it was not only wonderful for him but also his entire office! Sensation Quartet was ideal to work with. They showed up on time complete with a rose, chocolates and a card. Communication was easy and prompt and they sounded beautiful!

February 14, 2018People had tears in their eyes.
I can't begin to express how wonderful their performance was other than tell you people left with tears in their eyes. The ladies looked beautiful, and were such a joy to work with. Their performance was far beyond what I expected or hoped for. I will defiantly be recommending these ladies for future engagements. They have won two loyal fans.

About
Barb Patton - Lead
Barb has been a member of Sweet Adelines since 1982. She has been a member of the Kansas City Chorus since 1986. In 2011 Barb was awarded the Garee Rogers Award given by Region 7 for distinguished administrative service to Region 7, her chorus and to Sweet Adelines International. Barb is married to husband Mark and has 2 children, Brian and Emily and 6 grandchildren, Renae, Mackenzie, Lance, Eli, EmmaSue and Autin.
Ruth Anne Decker- Baritone
Ruth Anne first joined Sweet Adelines in 1987 after attending chorus rehearsals with her mother since before she was even born. After a break for college and getting started in her career, Ruth Anne joined the Kansas City Chorus in 1994. Her love of quartet singing has resulted in her performing in several different quartets and octets over the years singing either as tenor or baritone. She is married to Todd and has a daughter, Ashley.
Jenn Betz– Bass
Barbershop is a family affair for Jenn, who began singing with her first chorus in 2020 with her sister Lindsay. Jenn joined during Covid over Zoom. Jenn joined Sensation! in August 2022. Originally from Pennsylvania, she now makes her home in Topeka, KS.
Sue Smith – Tenor
Sue Smith joined Sweet Adelines in 2000, but has always been surrounded by singing. She has been a member of the Kansas City Chorus and is currently tenor section leader with RiverSong in St. Joseph Missouri. Sensation! is her third quartet. Sue has twins, Benjamin and Fitz.
