What to expect
When you hire me, your audience won’t just hear war stories—they’ll experience a powerful journey through leadership under the most demanding circumstances imaginable.
Using never-before-seen photographs, maps, battlefield graphics, and firsthand accounts from two of the most intense combat engagements of the Afghanistan War, I take audiences inside the decisions, challenges, and split-second moments that changed lives forever. Rather than focusing on combat itself, I focus on the people, the leadership, and the lessons that emerged from adversity.
My presentations explore how I entered my first major battle as a young Private, learning firsthand what great leaders did under unimaginable pressure. Years later, after earning my stripes as a Sergeant, I found myself leading Soldiers through another life-or-death battle, where I was forced to apply those same leadership principles while under enemy fire. Those experiences became the foundation for my approach to leadership, team building, communication, accountability, and resilience.
Whether your audience consists of executives, managers, educators, first responders, students, veterans, or corporate teams, the lessons remain the same. Leadership is about earning trust before the crisis, making sound decisions under pressure, adapting when plans fail, and inspiring others to move forward despite uncertainty.
Every presentation is authentic, engaging, and highly visual, giving audiences an inside look at real events while leaving them with practical leadership strategies they can immediately apply in their own organizations, careers, and personal lives. My goal is simple: to ensure every person leaves with a renewed understanding of what true leadership looks like when everything is on the line.

Influences and inspiration
My speaking style has been influenced by the leaders I served under during nearly two decades in the U.S. Army, particularly those I observed in combat who demonstrated calm, decisive leadership under extreme pressure. I also draw inspiration from speakers such as Simon Sinek, Jocko Willink, Admiral William H. McRaven, and General Stanley McChrystal, who emphasize servant leadership, teamwork, accountability, and resilience. While my message is rooted in my own experiences in Afghanistan, my goal is to translate those lessons into practical leadership principles that anyone can apply—whether they wear a uniform or not.
