BEST OF THE MIDWEST! This 5 Star Comedian has been seen on NBC, FOX-TV & Bob and Tom. His hilarious versatility makes him perfect for corporate events, fundraisers, birthday parties.
Scott's show Tales from the Cornstalk Ghetto has played in theaters to rave reviews! The show is about how growing up in a small-town & how living in the Midwest is better than LA or NY. Scott's been based in Chicago & Indianapolis which is proof you can be a Star comedian, while staying in the Heartland.
His great improv skills have him creating comedy by making the audience his co-stars! He has 25 yrs experience! Scott's hilarious but profanity-free act has a positive message leaving audiences in stitches
Scott was a pleasure to work with and a true entertainer. Some of the feedback we received from our HVAC dealers: “Best entertainment ever” “Scott was hilarious and knew his audience” We would use Scott again in a heartbeat. Our customers loved the show! Scott was easy to work with and very prompt with follow-up and follow-through. He was on-time and diligent in understanding our event in order to make it memorable. If you are in need of fun, modern entertainment-Scott Long is the guy to go to.
I contacted Scott through GigSalad and, after reading about his experience, I hired Scott for our "Game Night" themed holiday party. He was amazing! He combined stand-up comedy with a "game show" that allowed departments and individuals to compete against one another. The crowd remained engaged throughout the entire evening and he kept everyone laughing from beginning to end. If you are looking for great entertainment for your next party, I highly recommend hiring Scott. You won't be disappointed.
Response from Scott Long:
Thanks Kelly! My goal is to make everyone feel involved when I do my game show/standup comedy show...and I know that ended up being the case with your group. I put a lot of pre show research into my presentation and it’s great when it all comes together at the event. I’m guessing a lot of your employees/my co-stars, are going to be talking about your very special holiday party for years to come. I really appreciate you having me part of it!
We hired Scott Long for entertainment at our Annual Holiday Employee Celebration at The Wellington. Scott was great, keeping the audience engaged and laughing. I was very pleased that Scott took an active role in coordinating details prior to our event. He and his wife joined us for dinner and got to know the audience prior to performing. Definitely recommend Scott for your future events!!! A very funny man.
I hired Scott for a corporate event with many of our retail partners in the ag industry. Scott did an amazing job of interacting with the crowd and feeding off the crowds response. He was able to reach each age demographic in the crowd even though it varied greatly.
Scott was extremely easy to work with on the planning side, and most importantly, everyone had a great time.
I would highly recommend Scott to anyone in the future!
Did a wonderful job.
Scott did a great job with his show for out corporate Holiday Party. The age rage was extremely varied and he did a great job keeping that in mind!
My party of about 60ish people LOVED Scott! He was absolutely hilarious and we can't wait to have another party to have him back!
Response from Scott Long:
Thanks Stephanie. The funnier the group--the funnier I can be. Doing improvisation with you guys was not just a blast for the audience but it was a total pleasure for me. Can wait until the next show I do in Rockville!
Scott Long put the finishes touches on a fantastic fundraising evening for Lemay Child and Family Center. His act was perfect for our audience! Everyone in attendance said it was one of our most entertaining fundraising events we have ever had. We raised over $32,000 for our early childhood education program!
Thank you Scott!
Response from Scott Long:
Thanks Denise. Doing fundraisers for causes as special as yours are my favorite nights. Really happy to hve played a small part in your most successful fundraiser yet.
From the initial contact to the night of the show, the personal contact and communication was top notch. I wasn't sure how to handle everything, but Scott made it easy, let me know what he needed, and what to expect. It was truly appreciated.
On the night of the performance, Scott worked the crowd well, made everyone feel involved and comfortable. He incorporated a good amount of personal information and general observations to be funny to all - and that isn't easy on the various topics he covered. Even being a smaller event, Scott catered to the crowd very well. My husband and I, as well as the other guests, loved it from start to finish. 100% satisfied!
Scott came out to the Midwest and performed for a very diverse group of people. We had people of all ages and he covered the room very well. including some including attendees in the show. Everyone was well entertained and we had many compliments after the show. Would definitely recommend Scott for any group of people.
In past years we have had entertainment before that was fine, but Scott Long raised the bar way beyond our expectations. His interactions with our group was a huge hit and demonstrated how much his customized material option was worth every penny! His humor had a great Midwest sensibility to it and especially the material he did about his daughter with a disability resonated with our group in a GREAT way. Scott proved that you could be hilarious without using profanity. Our group was a mix of people from age 22 to 64--and he was a hit with everyone.
The other thing I will note is how easy he was to contact throughout the process as he answered every question we had before our event. He was even funny sitting with us during the dinner, before he performed. Our employees are still talking about the night a few months later!
What to Expect
Scott brings truthful stories about his life growing up in the Midwest and living in Indiana. He also incorporates the audience which is why no 2 Scott Long shows are ever the same. An added bonus offered is the deluxe package where Scott will write specific material for your group. Scott can do a no-profanity PG-rated show or an R-rated show, depending on what you are looking for. His biggest promise is never leaving an audience not totally satisfied with his performance!
WHY NOT HIRE THE BEST OF THE MIDWEST? Seen on NBC, FOX-TV, the Bob and Tom Show, plus a his latest standup special on Amazon Prime! He has also has been a regular on Indy local TV and Radio like Smiley morning Show, The Ride with JMV, and Fox 59 morning Show.
Scott Long is known for his hysterical takes on workplace insanity and growing up with a crazy family. His newest material about how they Midwest is better than LA and NY has been getting rave reviews. Growing up in Iowa and spending his standup career in Chicago and Indianapolis, Scott is proof you can be a nationally touring comedian while living in the Midwest. Besides his standup, for the past 13 seasons Scott has been a writer for Frank Caliendo's NFL sketches for ESPN and the NFL on FOX.
WARNING: Hiring a comedian is not like hiring a plumber. If you go for the lowest bid, there's a great chance you could wind up with someone who isn't funny and even worse--could be very offensive in their material, despite their claims. I've been performing standup for the past 20 years, at all the major comedy clubs and have done hundreds of corporate comedy events to rave reviews. (see below) Don't let a few hundred dollars stand in the way of having a great event your attendees will be talking about for a long time. The inexperienced comics on here cause me to bring my price quotes down from my regular agency fee, so Gig Salad is good for you!
Let us give you an example of the level of what Scott's professional clean comedy will get you. This review was from a show in October 2014 which had an average age of 75 & even one woman over 100. Here's the post-review...
We hosted a client appreciation event and Scott did a great job in his presentation. Our client list included many retirees and Scott was able to relate very well to them. I have received many compliments from the attendees with how much they enjoyed the evening.

His great improvisational skills guarantee no 2 Scott Long shows are ever the same!

His latest comedy CD, Good Dad...Not a Great Dad is a big selling standup release which can be found or heard on iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, and Sirius/XM satellite radio.

Scott Long was the perfect addition to the Metropolis Superman Celebration! With our first time trying a comedian, Scott exceeded our expectations. He was hilarious and totally connected with the audience. He was a great fit for our unique festival and customized his show by adding some Superman jokes to his routine! He left the audience well satisfied with his witty material. Scott was a pleasure to work with. We would DEFINITELY recommend Scott Long as a comedian for any event!I
Karla of the Annual Metropolis Superman Festival
I hired Scott Long as a comedian and MC for the 2015 Beam Suntory Ohio Bartender Whiskey Competition. This was a very big event with a very select audience and demographic. I had extremely high expectations of what we wanted for the event and really relied on Scott Long to pull through. Scott exceeded all expectations and really “wowed” our audience. Everyone was talking about him and he created that “buzz” in the room. He is a true professional and really prepared for the event. He acted with the highest respect and professionalism and did a tremendous amount of research not only on our company, but our guests. I would hire him again, no questions asked!

Alicia Montooth of WOW! Internet and Cable Company
Scott was a huge hit for our first fundraiser on Saturday night! We couldn’t have asked for a better event to get our fundraising started. Scott did a great job of interacting with the audience. We had a diverse group in attendance and his show was perfect fit for all – even the ministers in the audience! :) This event was focused on fundraising for education and he incorporated touching stories from his own personal journey as a parent. One audience member stated “he about had you in tears from emotion, then at the edge of your seat laughing!” At the end of the night Scott donated a portion of his merchandise proceeds back to us – what a nice surprise!
Erin of Sloan School Board
Scott was selected to do a comedic roast at a retirement reception for our Chief Operating Officer. He was absolutely hilarious! Scott customized his performance to fit this special “roasting” occasion. We had over 125 guests in attendance (from all over the United States), and received positive comments after the program. Scott was aware of his audience of executives, lawyers, and school administrators, and was able to engage several of them throughout his performance. Many of our staff members indicated they would like to see him perform at local establishments here in Indianapolis. We would reach out to Scott again for future events!

Influences & Inspiration
I grew up loving George Carlin but have evolved more into a storyteller. This mix is why I believe I've become such a popular act for corporate events. My standup is based on the truth of my life--growing up in what I call "The Cornstalk Ghetto of America." Big laughs throughout, with a sprinkle of poignant moments make me a consistent 5 star reviewed act. When you hire me you don't have to worry about anything from that point on as I'm very interactive with my clients and do a profanity-free show. 23 years of experience doing the top clubs in the country allow me to handle any situation and still bring you the great event you were hoping for!
