About
Using Brooklyn’s DIY scene as a launch pad, Schmeeze has taken to the stage with their eclectic sound, mixing jazz and funk influences with 80s style hard-rock.
The band first got together in June, 2015 when lead singer Michelle Eliza and guitarist Mike Miller brought six songs to drummer Tommy Gordon, who recruited long-time friend Ian Ferry on bass. Music and new ideas flowed like water, and Schmeeze became an unstoppable force.
Michelle’s powerhouse vocals and upbringing as a jazz singer are seamlessly brought together with Mike’s love for 80’s hair metal, Tommy’s jazz and hip-hop tendencies , and Ian’s groove-inspired bass lines.
