A high level of professionalism, talent, skill and creativity in providing just the right music for your event. With Saxophone One! you get the best of a live performing Saxophone player (that also plays clarinet, flute, sings) And DJ all rolled into one low cost musician. Dan can perform as a DJ during breaks or for any length of time.
I arrive early (60 to 90 minutes) and set up in plenty of time before the guests arrive. I bring all the necessary sound equipment.
If there are any announcements, I’m happy to make them, and the hosts or distinguished guests are welcome to use my microphone (wired or wireless) for toasts, speeches or simply to welcome everyone.

Growing up in Southern California, Dan Dunshee was immersed in the area's rich and diverse music culture. Studying woodwinds privately from an early age, performing in the California State University Long Beach Classical and Jazz ensembles as a music major and performing in every genre of music, from Latin, Rock, Blues, Country, R&B, Classical and Jazz, all contributed to Dan's musical versatility. He has performed in TV commercials, Classical and Jazz cultural groups through the Long Beach Symphony and toured the US, Europe and Asia.
In addition to music, Dan holds a Masters Degree from Pepperdine University and a 35 year Management career in Information Technology working for Honeywell, Microsoft and Pacific Life. Dan has enjoyed performing as a full-time musician since 2013.
Dan enjoys applying today's technology to traditional music creation and performance. He uses digital technologies to create and perform his music, along with traditional acoustic instruments. Dan performs on a Yanigasawa Soprano saxophone, Yamaha Custom Alto and Tenor saxophones, Buffet clarinets, Miyazawa flutes and vocal performances. He can create and perform music for any occasion, venue or group size, providing the sound of a full band or with a full band!
Saxophone One! provides a professional Sound system suited to the audience and venue. From a small room or patio to a large ballroom or outdoor concert.
