I hired Sang Matiz for my parents “surprise” retirement party and boy did they deliver! Not only was booking smooth but everyone is extremely warm and nice as well, super easy to work with. Now the music - it is next level! They have a killer sound and Urie has a beautiful voice! Every single guest kept saying how awesome the band was! Highly recommend ☺️

November 1, 2021Highly recommend!!!
We hired Sang Matiz to play an event at the elementary school I work for! They totally rocked, everyone from preschool to fifth graders absolutely loved their music! The songs were fantastic, they were super engaging and I couldn’t believe the sound they achieved with only 4 people. I couldn’t be happier! Thank you!!

September 19, 2021The band is a Solid Hit!!
What an amazing group of talented musicians. My wife hired them for my 51st birthday party. If never heard them prior to this. As they began to play their upbeat Latin/Caribbean style music the room came alive. My guest immediately hit the dance floor. If you are considering hiring a band that will have your guests talking for months then look no further than Sang Matiz!
Thank you so much! I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday.

About
...Sounds like The Gypsy Kings and Jamiroquai had a baby in South America! (Easier to understand once you listen to the music)
Sang Matiz has been performing for 7 years, fusing World and Afro-Brazilian/Peruvian beats with contemporary rhythms such as Pop, Jazz, and Funk. Thanks to a grant awarded by The California Arts Council Endowment for the Arts and The San Francisco Arts Commission for Cultural Equity, they released the album, “Ship It!”.
Most recently in August 2015, they were chosen and honored to open for the legendary Cuban band "Buena Vista Social Club" Orchestra for their “Adios Tour." Throughout the years, they’ve also had the great opportunity to collaborate with various renowned Bay Area musicians such as: Jackeline Rago (Master Percussionist), Miguelito Martinez (Flutist/Composer), Silvestre Martinez (Composer/Percussionist), and Grammy Award-winner Braulio Barrera (Pacific Mambo Orchestra), among many others. In addition, they've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with national and international acts such as Jorge Santana (Malo) and Pete Escovedo.
