Sandpiper Ensemble
Overview
Sandpiper Ensemble’s mission is to create music that evokes imagery of the breathtaking California deserts, and the cultural history therein. A mostly instrumental group, the band draws from the traditions of jazz, western, surf, folk, and Latin, to produce a sound akin to vintage movie soundtracks. Flexible in size, style, and setting, originals and covers can be arranged for a 4 to 12 piece band, and different genres can be focused on for different settings.
