Coastal Collective Jazz Ensemble

The Coastal Collective is a versatile, highly customizable ensemble that can be arranged into a variety of configurations and instrumentations, allowing us to meet each client's unique expectations, budgets, and constraints. Our ensemble can perform either amplified or acoustically (depending on instrumentation), allowing us a large degree of volume control. Our industry-standard sound equipment is capable of supporting audiences of up to 250 people, can be engineered by our own in-house sound technicians, and can be completely powered by our own portable electric generators, all included free-of-charge. Our repertoire is expansive, allowing clients and audiences a wide degree of control over song selection.

We are the Coastal Collective Jazz Ensemble, San Diego's premiere source for refined, sophisticated musical entertainment. Our group is host to Grammy-award winning musicians, some of the nation's leading performers, and over 200 years of musical experience between them. Whether you're looking for an elegant lounge pianist or a swingin' 16-piece Big Band, the Coastal Collective will provide your event with the class, dignity, and culture it deserves.

Originally formed three years ago as a small trio, the Coastal Collective has since grown to encompass upwards of 30 musicians, each with their own unique styles, skills, and creative voices. The ensemble and it's smaller iterations span a wide array of genres from classic and contemporary jazz to jazz-adjacent styles like RnB, Soul, and Motown, and even Top40 music reworked with an elegant hand. Whatever your event requires, the Coastal Collective can provide the highest level of musical performance.

Due to the Coastal Collective's unique construction, the ensemble can function in a wide degree of configurations.

OPTION A (SOLO PIANO)
Option A is the smallest configuration we offer, consisting of a single Pianist. This option is ideal for young piano-type settings, such as lobby music, dinner parties, and other intimate events where volume is a concern. Pricing for Option A begins at $500.

OPTION B (SOLO INSTRUMENT W/TRACKS)
Option B is a cost-effective solution for clients looking for a large-ensemble experience on a small-ensemble budget! We can provide backing tracks to popular jazz and pop standards, along with portable amplification, for one of the following instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, or Fiddle. Pricing for Option B begins at $500.

OPTION C (DUO)
Option C is our 2-piece option, and includes your choice of two of the following: Piano, Bass, Guitar, Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, or Fiddle. Pricing for Option C begins at $700.

OPTION D (TRIO)
Option D is our 3-piece option, and includes your choice of 3 of the following: Piano, Bass, Reduced OR Complete Drumkit, Guitar, Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, or Fiddle. Pricing for Option D begins at $900.

OPTION E (QUARTET)
Option D is our 4-piece option, and includes Reduced OR Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, and your choice of 2 of the following: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, or Fiddle. Pricing for Option E begins at $1200.

OPTION F (QUINTET)
Option F is our 5-piece option, and includes Reduced OR Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, Piano OR Guitar, and your choice of 2 of the following: Piano (if not selected), Guitar (if not selected), Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, or Fiddle. Pricing for Option F begins at $1500.

OPTION G (SEXTET)
Option G is our 6-piece option, and includes Reduced OR Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, Piano OR Guitar, and your choice of 3 of the following: Piano (if not selected), Guitar (if not selected), Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, or Fiddle. Pricing for Option G begins at $1800.

OPTION H (8-PIECE)
Option G is our "Little Big Band" option, and includes the following instrumentation: Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, Piano, Guitar, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Trombone, and Trumpet. A vocalist may be added upon request. Pricing for Option H begins at $2,500.

OPTION I (12-PIECE)
Option I is our reduced big band, and includes the following instrumentation: Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, Piano, Guitar, 3 Saxophones, 2 Trombones, and 3 Trumpets. A vocalist may be added upon request. Pricing for Option I begins $3,000.

OPTION J (17-PIECE)
Option J is our standard big band, and includes the following instrumentation: Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, Piano, Guitar, 5 Saxophones, 4 Trombones, and 4 Trumpets. A vocalist may be added upon request. Pricing for Option J begins at $3,500.

OPTION K (20-PIECE)
Option K is a full big band, and includes the following instrumentation: Complete Drumkit, Electric OR Upright Bass, Piano, Guitar, 5 Saxophones, 4 Trombones, 5 Trumpets, and 2 Vocalists. Pricing for Option K begins at $4,000.
