Sam Phipps and Bluegrass Sounds is a blend of young and seasoned talent, offering traditional and progressive bluegrass music to compliment your event whether it be a festival, reunion, graduation party, wedding/rehearsal or any other event where you want a bluegrass sound. We are located in Upper East Tennessee and are very active at events in our area.

Sam Phipps and Bluegrass Sounds was formed in 2023 with members Sam Phipps (guitar), Noah Phipps (mandolin), Randy Singleton, (dobro), Clark Mixon (banjo), and Nancy Mixon (bass). Coming together with the intent to share musical abilities spanning 60 years. With the musical influences of Flatt & Scruggs, Jim & Jesse, Osborne Brothers, Country Gentlemen, Seldom Scene, Tony Rice, Bluegrass Album Band and many more we bring to any event a variety of well-loved bluegrass songs.
